It is the division responsible for improving the status of laboratories in scientific,
research, and medical institutions so that they are within high and international
standards and specifications. Ensuring the quality of laboratories will benefit the
institutions, and this institution or university will be among the ranks of advanced
universities, as it will work to perfect the work of laboratories in order to conduct
accurate and accredited scientific, engineering, and medical measurements and
examinations with all international institutions and in order to provide the best in the
field of scientific research and advanced scientific studies.
The tasks of the Section of Laboratory Accreditation are:
1. Monitoring and auditing laboratory specifications with the requirements of
approved standard specifications.
2. Determiningthe technical specifications for devices and equipment, encoding
them, and documentingtheir data in coordination by laboratory officials with
laboratories at the university and other universities.
3. Following up on the implementation of calibration programs for devices and
equipment with the relevant authorities.
4. Coordinating to open programmed courses to train laboratory workers.
5. Coordinating with the Laboratory Accreditation Department in the Ministry
of Higher Education and Scientific Research to improve and develop the
performance of laboratories to achieve laboratory accreditation by one of the
specialized authorities.
6. Take what is necessary to activate the procedures and requirements
determined by the laboratory accreditation team in the field.
7. Conducting an effective internal audit of random samples in laboratories
through self-efforts to determine the efficiency of the tests from time to time.
